With Field Day just a little over a week away, I guess the count down is on. Hams from all over are going to be setting up in parks, backyards and club shacks, to show off what Ham Radio is really about. Hopefully many clubs have sent out media releases to local news organizations, to get the word out about Field Day. If not, you still may have some time to do it. The YL is coming home today, so I am making sure all is in order before she arrives. That means not as much time to come up with a real in depth story. So, I decided I better be “lazy” and find something good and short to talk about. How about this? I’m sure there is a good portion of ham radio operators that got started in Citizen Band. It really is a different world from Ham Radio. And I’m sure there are a few die hard ops that are still on CB because they have other friends there. And I don’t begrudge CB users or any CB users who decide they want to get their license and become a ham op. But what is it with some CB users hating...
