Well, my coverage of AmiWest starts from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Gate B14. While I wait for my flight to Sacramento. I managed to catch an earlier flight out of Albany, but when I checked in to trying to catch the 10:15am from Chicago to Sacramento, I couldn’t get on bcause of my checked luggage. That kinda sucks, but oh well.
From the looks of it, most of the folks attending have already arrived or will be arriving soon. I should be landing in Sacramento at about 3pm local time. Once there, I’ll settle in and track down the rest of the AmiWest folks and start planning what is going to happen over a nice cold beer. And believe me, after waking up at 4am to catch a 8am flight, I need one.

It’s not happening yet, but if something isn’t done fairly quickly, it could be coming. Read the article, and think of the effects of Skype being blocked by one of the ISP’s involved (I’m assuming that the hosts and guests do not all use the same ISP).
