HAPPY HALLOWEEN
I’m in the process of getting home from Sacramento, but I’ll have more audio and video from the AmiWest show, plus Episode 13 of Amiga Roundtable will be available too.
Sorry, No audio in this one as my cam doesn’t have a mic. Also, just changed this to a .flv file. the .mov is still available at the same downloadURL. Just replace.flv with .mov.
Bill P. from DiscreetFX was the key speaker for the AmiWest banquet, and here’s what Bill had to say…
Here is the audio from the OS4 Presentation for Classic Amiga Computers.
Also, Bill Panagouleas from DiscreetFX is buying 10 copies of OS4 Classic to give away! Send an email to sales@discreetfx.com to enter the drawing. Include your name, mailing address, etc… and the name of one of the original Amiga developers to enter into the drawing!
Want to see some of the photos we’ve take through out the day?

Well, I made it to AmiWest. Alive. The Gods of computing smiled favorably on me, somewhat, and got me to the hotel only an hour or so after my plane landed. But it took me a while to find the hotel since the stupid GPS I rented with my car, wasn’t charged! So I’m sitting there turning it on every few minutes to make sure I didn’t take a wrong turn, which I did do any ways.
But I arrived and had enough time to grab a quick bite with Bill P. and his son, at a Chinese place down the road before the banquet. Then went on a holy quest to help find Bill a cheap razor to shave with before he spoke at the banquet.
After a quick shower, I went down to the banquet room and setup my equipment to record. Which brings us to today….
NOTE: The Flash player for the audio doesn’t seem to like how Audacity saved the file as it plays it sped up, so I disabled it. But you can still download it. I’ll send this over the iTunes Feed ASAP, and slap it up on the mirror too.
Well, my coverage of AmiWest starts from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Gate B14. While I wait for my flight to Sacramento. I managed to catch an earlier flight out of Albany, but when I checked in to trying to catch the 10:15am from Chicago to Sacramento, I couldn’t get on bcause of my checked luggage. That kinda sucks, but oh well.
Well, here is the final update before AmiWest 2007! The DVD is done, and all I need to do now is just print the cover for the DVD case and slip them in. I go to the printers today to have that done. For those that buy this DVD, thank you. It’s not much but it’s a start to help us make the show better. A faster server, better equipment and original content for the Amiga Community. The feed back from everyone on the recent show has been great! The guys and I learned more about what you the listener like and don’t like about the show and hope to keep hearing more as the shows keeps coming. If you’re going to be at AmiWest, then please, stop by the table and say “Hi”. I would love the chance to talk to you about your likes and dislikes for the show as anything else you want to talk about.
As for this DVD, here is the final look of the cover. I hope you like it. If not, well then, I’ll try something different for the next one. If you can’t attend the show this year, and would like one of these DVDs, I’ll be taking orders after I get back from AmiWest. If I get a lot of orders I’ll find a someone who can make make a larger run and still keep the $10 price tag. As always, comments and questions are welcomed.
See you at AmiWest. Till then…
“Make Mine Miggy!!”
Well, time for some more info on AmiWest. It’s coming up quick and we’re just about ready for it. First up, As you may have read on some of the other Amiga Portals, We’re teaming up with UGN for the live broadcasts from AmiWest this year. Also some of the audio will be hosted here at AmigaZ and on our mirror.
Sorry folks. We’ve canceled this weeks show due to some family matters and that I’m out of town for the weekend and can’t get free time to record the show. We’ll be back next week. Remember! The week after this coming on is AmiWest! So hurry up and book your transportation or what have you. See you all next week!
Over the last several months, ART has continued our podcast development and generally has been frustrated. This frustration has been caused by the crap that has spewed forth from Amiga, Inc and the fact that we cannot purchase a product.
In recent weeks, our frustration has been amplified by the latest attempt by said company to try to plead its case as to why they are the victim in this mad charade. Well, we’re here to tell you, that being the little kid that runs up to playground lady pointing to Hyperion and telling her “They wont give me back my OS4″, is not gonna fix it.
The ticket is bought, the hotel room booked, the table is paid for and the itinerary is set. But folks may be wondering what we’re going to do when we get there. Well, here is what we’re planning on doing…
What?! A DVD? Yep! I’ll tell you more about that in another update. But we’ll be there taking pictures and talking and schmoozing the crowd. So come on by and say “Hi!”. Also, my interary is wide open after the show on Sunday, so anyone that wants to hang out and watch some baseball, let me know. I’ll be bored other wise.
